Evergreen or deciduous, trees are magnificent plants lending scale to a garden whether used as a backdrop, shelter, shade, or as a single specimen focal point.
Planted as avenues trees can improve the street scene, flank a drive or lead the eye to a favourite feature or view. Trees can be commemorative, planted to celebrate those landmark times of our and others lives, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduation, achievement, remembrance. Trees can mitigate the impact of development from housing site to retail or industrial park and provide enhanced wildlife and environmental benefits.
Cotswold Estates and Gardens Ltd can supply and plant trees from a wide range of available species, in sizes from small forestry transplants to large semi mature, including exotics and individual specimens and offer full aftercare to establishment and beyond. Tree surgery operations are also undertaken.
In addition we can lift, transport and transplant clients’ trees, subject to suitability, using specialist equipment if required, enabling rearrangement / re-use of the site while retaining valued tree specimens. Again a full aftercare programme which can include incorporation of irrigation systems to establishment and beyond is available.
Trees can be planted during their dormant autumn/winter planting season (usually Nov-March) as either bare-rooted or root-balled trees. Outside of the dormant period only containerised (grown in a pot) trees should be planted but these can still range to trees of large size.
