Ranging in styles and types, from informal outline to formally clipped profiles, native plants to ornamentals, hedges provide a softer and wildlife friendly alternative to fences and walls. Similarly used for boundaries, enclosure, divisions or for other decorative and functional purposes, hedges provide a living screen with seasonal interest be it foliage, twigs, flowers or fruits.
Cotswold Estates and Gardens Ltd supply and plant hedges of all types and in sizes from seedling transplants to over 3metre height including ready clipped units to provide instant hedges. A full aftercare programme, which can include incorporation of irrigation systems, to establishment and beyond is offered.
Hedges can be trained and trimmed to a prescribed shape or to form topiary subjects.
As either bare-rooted or root-balled plants, hedges can be planted during their dormant autumn/winter planting season (usually Nov-March). Outside of the dormant period only containerised (grown in a pot) hedge plants should be used but these can still range to large size specimens.
